Halloween 2009

Back To School!!!!!!!!!!!

Madison finally went back to school on September 10th. Thank goodness because it was such a long summer that we were at each others throats cooped up in an 83 degree house with no A/C! She switched schools this year for third grade. Despite a few minor incidents that resulted in some tears, and a hard-ass teacher, she is handling the transition really well.

Sydney also switched to a new preschool back in July and is loving it. Her teachers are so warm and funny that it was effortless. And much cheaper than the last place.

Kevin is still employed so we can't complain there, and I am up to my eyeballs trying to get this new business off the ground.
Wish I had more time for updates, but any task that doesn't result in income or the potential for income just doesn't make it on my to do list!

May Update

Been super swamped with our new home-based business. I thought I was busy before, but now it's out of control as I am now a mom, a housekeeper, a designer, a production artist, a researcher, a sales rep, a printer and a book keeper! Ridiculous! My poor kids have been so neglected as I focus on helping pay the mortgage.

We took some short trips to Palm Springs and Legoland to get away. Syd started soccer - mostly because she would get to wear an all-pink uniform! We also went up to Victoria at the last minute to catch Kevin's great grandmother before she passed away. Sad but we made the best of our trip and made sure the kids had fun. Except of course for the getting home part where we missed three flights (NOT OUR FAULT) and spent a grueling 8 hours in the Vancouver airport - thank god for that play structure and Tim Hortons...

Been training on our new equipment, attending webinars, printing lots of tees (like the one Syd is modeling below), shopping bags, etc. and now we can do car vinyl - so now I have to learn yet another thing. Updated our ugly website with our current work section...see it at www.sydisonpromotions.com and that will explain what has been keeping us so busy.

January Happenings

So pathetic that all I've had up for so long is a Santa shot! What else is new? Maddie lost her two front teeth, the girls had their beds converted to bunk beds, we witnessed an historic moment, and we had a warm winter. Our new business is doing small but steady work so we can't complain. Now if we can just get Kevin's next gig lined up for when his contract is up in April, all will be well. As well as it can be in this economy anyway...

Reynolds Visit

Yea!! The Reynolds chose LA on their most recent trip home and we were SO glad they did. My girls missed their girls tremendously. They get along so well and they always seem to have a great time! Next time there will be more room now that the beds are bunk style!

December 2008

December found us at Disneyland, warm days at the beach and park, and then snowy Toronto for xmas with the cousins and grandparents. Of course by the end, our winter wonderland had all melted away...
